The second Sunday in December sees the Ulysses Club Inc - Lockyer Branch host The Ipswich Toy Run each year. The first Ipswich Toy Run was on Sunday 8 December, 1996 and has been run each year since. 2025 will see the 30th Ipswich Toy Run occuring on Sunday 14 December.The Ipswich Toy Run supports the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal in the Ipswich Area the the Ipswich City Salvation Army Corps and the Ulysses Club Arthritis Reserach Fund (UCARF) for research into a cure for Rheumatoid arthritis.
