The Orear Institute for Post Graduate Studies was established in 1987 through the generous support of Richard and Charlotte Orear. Since 1988, the annual Recent Advances in Medicine Conference - including Evidence Based Integrative Medicine has been held to promote the Orear Institute's mission of providing continuing medical education on recent advances in clinical medicine by the nation's premiere educators. The Orear Institute operations under the auspices of Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation.
