About the event

Maximum Northern Moonrise Alignment
Every 18.6 years the moon completes its cycle and reaches its northern most rising point. This year is the year the cycle reaches its end, come see the Northern Most Rising point alignment built into the 2,000-year-olds earthworks her at Fort Ancient marking end of the current lunar cycle.
Moonrise will take place about 10:18pm, we expect the moon to break the tree line about 10:30-10:40pm.
This is a Family Friendly event with activities inside and outside for all ages. There will be a Nature Night Hike led by site staff after the Moonrise. Along with a program by Caesar's Creek State Park's Naturalist, Erin Shaw.
