*The Rainbow Gathering location takes place in a fluid timeline and environment unlike any other. People begin showing up at various times to set up various camps, infrastructure (like water lines, sanitation stations, firewood chopping, etc) and kitchens for serving the attendees food.
The dates 'June 24-July 8th 2017' are an idea of when is best to arrive to the Gathering to find people from Conscious Impact and other camps. Orion/Allen will prolly arrive around June 28th for set up. Feel free to join any of these days for any amount of time. The actual gathering is from 1-8 July, but we will need support setting up a kitchen space and camp...
About the Gathering, From the Rainbow website: http://www.welcomehome.org/rainbow/main.html
"Some say we're the largest non-organization of non-members in the world. We have no leaders, and no organization. To be honest, the Rainbow Family means different things to different people. I think it's safe to say we're into intentional community building, non-violence, and alternative lifestyles. We also believe that Peace and Love are a great thing, and there isn't enough of that in this world. Many of our traditions are based on Native American traditions, and we have a strong orientation to take care of the the Earth. We gather in the National Forests yearly to pray for peace on this planet."
About Conscious Impact: www.consciousimpact.org
A non-profit based out of rural Nepal that strives to expand horizons and create community as we work together to learn, grow, and build. We believe that humanity must unite to meet global challenges with sustainable solutions. We understand that we gain peace, harmony & happiness through serving others, ourselves, and Earth.
We are interested in uniting past volunteers, interested volunteers and Rainbow Gathering attendees for the 2017 Rainbow Gathering in Oregon.
Conscious Impact is interested in supporting other camps, Green Path (herbalist minded attendees) to have a modest sized, functioning kitchen to serve 30-50 persons throughout the day. Items you could bring that would support this work include: "Bring whatever food and supplies you do. Shovels, picks, axes, saws, shelters (large tarps, teepees, etc), rope, twine, buckets"...
Message or post if you have any specific questions.
Hope to share in the Rainbow Gathering with you all! Namaste
