Vertical Farming Meets Community Roots
Learn, connect, and help shape the future of Anderson Park.
 Anderson Park Friends Annual Meeting
 Wednesday, October 15, 2025
 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Town of Oregon Hall, 1138 Union Road, Oregon, WI
We invite APF members and the community to join us for an evening of learning, conversation, and community at the 2025 Anderson Park Friends Annual Meeting!
 Featured Speaker: Johanna Oosterwyk
Johanna is the manager of the DC Smith Instructional Greenhouse at UW–Madison, where she teaches classes in greenhouse management and plant care. Her presentation, “Is Vertical Farming in Your Future?”, will open the door to one of agriculture’s most fascinating innovations.
Vertical farming uses stacked layers of crops in indoor environments to grow food year-round. Imagine fields of wheat or trays of lettuce growing in a warehouse instead of across acres of farmland. The idea is bold, the benefits are real, but the challenges are just as important. Johanna will help us sort fact from hype and consider whether this futuristic technology fits our Wisconsin communities.
In addition to the presentation, we’ll provide:
• Updates on Anderson Farm County Park projects
• Election of three Board positions (President, Treasurer, At-Large Director)
• Light snacks and beverages
Whether you’re curious about new farming ideas, eager to hear what’s happening in the park, or interested in getting more involved, this is a night you won’t want to miss!
 RSVP at www.andersonparkfriends.org/calendar.
