Our 2026 Collins Lake Event & BBQ will be on Saturday March 21, 2026. There is no cost to participants, just get yourself there.

Due to the states Mussel Inspection protocols that have many people locked into specific lakes, it is unknown how many volunteer boats we will have signed up this year. As a result, I will be signing up the first 30 Veterans who wish to reserve a seat for this event. After that, everyone will be placed on a list and as more seats/boats come available we will take from the top of the list and start adding.

As always, I will add more details as we get closer to the event.
To sign up please email to info@rec4vets.org and tell us if you are a Veteran participant or volunteer
If you would like to volunteer as a captain please let us know how many Veterans you can host on your boat and if you have a deckhand.

If you would like to volunteer as our ground support (set up, prep. cook, serve, cleanup, etc.) please let us know .....we are always looking for help.

Collins Lake offers great camping and overnight facilities with the best hospitality out there for those who wish to come up early or stay a little longer and can be found at https://collinslake.com/ or 530-692-1600

Tawnya and I will be hosting our annual potluck dinner the night before (friday March 20) in our campsite (105) for those looking to meet and greet, swap stories or just relax and enjoy a good bite to eat.......bring a dish and a chair and join us.
