PDX/OR Latinos - Annual River Float (Co-Ed)

The Amigas y Mas Social Portland chapter is having their 2nd annual river float at the Clackamas river! 🌊 We are extending the invite to 21+ friends, family, and allies. Well-behaved fur babies are welcomed.

Please read the floating details thoroughly:
9:30AM -10:00AM: Meet at Carver Park, please park somewhere nearby. We will decide on designated drivers that day.
10:00AM: Head over to the starting point (Barton Park).
~10:15AM: Arrive at Barton Park to prep for the float. We will blow up our floaties, pack a cooler, snacks, etc.
~11:30AM: Begin float
~3:30PM: End float (tentative). The end point is walking distance from Carver Park, where our cars will be parked.

Floating essentials:

• Sunscreen
• Water
• Floaties and/or Kayak
• Appropriate river tubing floatie
• BYOB
• Snacks
• Lifejacket (if needed)
• Water-shoes (if needed)
• Waterproof bag (if needed)

This is a ~3-4 hour float down the Clackamas river. RSVP price will go towards fuel for our designated driver(s) and supplies.

Zero Tolerance on Excessive Alcoholism:

Amigas y Mas Social enforces a zero tolerance policy on excessive alcohol consumption. Please drink responsibly. Inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event and possible ban from AYMS.

Non-Refundable Events Policy:
All event registrations are non-refundable. Once your RSVP is confirmed, cancellations cannot be accommodated.

Organization Fee Statement:

A small organization fee is collected for each event to sustain our community and support future activities. This fee is not applicable to any venue, food, drink or additional event costs incurred.

No-Show Policy:

Effective immediately, after two no-shows, you will be unable to RSVP for the next Amigas y Mas Social (AYMS) event. This policy is being implemented out of consideration for our chapter presidents and amigas who may have missed an opportunity to attend due to limited spots. We will be keeping track of no-shows to ensure fairness and accountability.

If you can no longer attend an event, please cancel 48 hrs prior.

Please be courteous to host leads and only RSVP if you are sure you are coming! We need accurate head counts for planning.
