Our Groundwork Only sessions are where true partnership begins. With no riding involved, the focus is entirely on connection — learning to be present, to listen, and to communicate clearly with the horse from the ground up. Working alongside our rescue horses, participants step into a different way of being with them — one rooted in patience, softness, and mutual understanding. Many of these horses have lived through traditional training methods or challenging pasts, and this work is about helping them “reset.” We give them the time and space to process, to feel safe, and to rediscover joy in their relationship with humans. Even the ones who seem “fine” often carry unseen baggage. Here, we slow down enough to truly see and hear them.

At the same time, humans learn the true foundation of training — relaxation, clarity, consistency, and confidence. Each session is a journey of discovery. While we teach techniques, the deeper lesson is awareness: understanding that every horse is an individual with unique needs, yet all share the same desire for safety, connection, and leadership they can trust. As our knowledge evolves, so does our approach — adjusting, refining, and listening to what each horse needs while staying grounded in solid fundamentals. This work requires patience, open minds, and a willingness to grow, but the reward is profound: helping horses heal in a different way, and in turn, allowing them to help humans find something deeper within themselves.

First class session starting Feburary 25 or March 4 - 11:00-12:30
Cost $50/class must commit to 4-5 week sessions (if you cannot make a week due to scheduling check with us for a potential makeup)
Future class days may be scheduled depending on interest
