SWEEP THE LEG DIVISIONS:

Fighters may select from the following gear choices:

Boxing Gloves & Shin Guards (optional helmet) 18+

Small Gloves (MMA, TKD or Karate) & Shin Guards (optional helmet) 18+

Bare Knuckle (No Gloves & No Shinguards) 18+

YOUTH Ages 10-11: Must wear Boxing Gloves, Chest Protector, Helmet & Shin Guards

TEENS Ages 12-17: Must wear Boxing Gloves, Helmet & Shin Guards OPTIONAL: Chest Protector

MATCHING

Each fighter will be given minimally 1 match.

Matches will me made based on experience, rank and weight AS BEST AS POSSIBLE

Fighters will be awarded 1st and 2nd place awards at the end of their matches for single matches.

If multiple fighters enter at similar weights and skill, we will offer a tournament model where winners can move onto the next round to get more fights with additional places for 3rd & 4th.

FIGHT DURATION

The length of the first round is 2 minutes (1:30 for Youth & Teens).

The length of the second round is 2 minutes (1:30 for Youth & Teens).

The length of the third round is 1 minute.


SCORING SYSTEM

Points (Ippon) are continuously accumulated through the round by landing a combination of the following and earning 1 point for each successful execution:

1) Knock downs (dropping the opponent from body shots and/or leg kicks)

2) Sweeps (catching the kick and/or push pull sweeps)

3) Throws from clinch (No Judo throws)

Fighters with a 5 point margin at the end of a given round will be declared the victor and no further rounds given

Fighters can also win by TKO by dropping their opponents with a knock down and if the opponent cannot return to their feet after an 8 second count or they are knocked down 3 times in a single round, they will lose the match no matter what the previous points were

This Knockdown tournament will serve as an under card event during the day time before the USKA puts on Amateur Muay Thai Kickboxing matches on later in the evening so come on out for a spectacular event and stick around later for some great fights from USKA for a special ticket price!
