These small-group, 2-hour mini cattle clinics are designed to introduce or develop cattle work in a calm, supportive environment. Wayne’s experience with young and green horses shines in these sessions, making them ideal for riders looking to build confidence and understanding around cattle.
Working in a controlled setting, Wayne focuses on correct positioning, timing, and reading cattle, while always prioritising the horse’s mental stability and welfare. With limited numbers, riders receive plenty of individual feedback while benefiting from the shared learning of a group setting.

Wayne Hinder will tailor the instruction to suit each horse and rider combination, ensuring you develop at a pace that is both safe and rewarding. Many riders find that several sessions help them build the foundation and confidence required before advancing to more challenging manoeuvres.

Whether you’re just starting out with cattle work, curious about the sport, or looking for a stepping stone before committing to a full clinic, our mini clinics are an ideal introduction to reined cow horse.

Helmets are recommended for adults, and all riders under the age of 18yrs must wear one.

Waivers need to be signed before riding 

Cooinda Park Equine – Event Booking Policy

At Cooinda Park Equine, we are committed to providing quality events and clinics by working closely with our trainers and organisers. To ensure fairness and clarity for all participants, please review and understand our booking conditions before securing your place.

1. Payment
For events up to the value of $260 (e.g., private lessons, mini clinics, obstacle sessions), full payment is required at the time of booking.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Refunds will only be provided if a replacement rider is found to fill your position.
A 20% cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund once the replacement rider is confirmed.
If no replacement is found, no refund will be issued.
3. Rider Swaps
You may arrange your replacement rider if you cannot attend.
Please notify us of the new rider’s details before the event so the change can be approved.
4. Event Cancellation by Cooinda Park Equine
In rare cases where an event is cancelled by Cooinda Park Equine (e.g., extreme weather, trainer illness), a full refund will be provided.
Cooinda Park Equine is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by riders.
5. Important Notes
Your booking confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
We recommend considering travel or event insurance in case unforeseen circumstances prevent your attendance.
