Tanner Smith of Netflix’s “Love on the Spectrum” will be spreading pure joy during a special appearance at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College this month.

The St. Matthews native and his mother, Nicci, will be at the college at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, to share Tanner’s experience living and thriving with autism and his self-proclaimed mission to “spread joy all around the world.”

Tanner was diagnosed with autism at 4 years old and is a graduate of the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University. He works at The Shepherd Hotel in Clemson, where he lives independently with roommates.

The world fell in love with Tanner after his appearance in seasons two and three of “Love on the Spectrum.” He wants others to see what is possible for individuals with autism and to be an advocate for employment for the disabled community.
