Colonial Chocolate Demonstration
Historian Dontavius Williams will present a colonial chocolate-making demonstration in the reconstructed kitchen in Montpelier’s South Yard, highlighting the historical connections between chocolate production and American slavery. This presentation is made possible by the Forrest E. Mars, Jr. Chocolate History Grant.

Trades Festival & Archaeology Demonstrations
Interact with Montpelier’s Archaeology team and expert tradespeople as they demonstrate the range of trade expertise of the enslaved at Montpelier. This trades festival includes Carpentry, Blacksmithing, and Log Cabin Construction.

Montpelier Passport Adventure
