ANDREA AND JOHN BARWICK
Here is a small bio about Andrea and John Barwick who will be doing dance demonstrations during the event.
Andrea and John retired from competitive dancing in 1998 after a very successful career. Following that retirement we embraced social dancing where our passion for dancing now lies. We are the choreographers of many popular dances such as the New Vogue Modern Waltz, Jab Samba, Talia Tango and Anna-Lisa Waltz to name a few.
Andrea and John says some inspiring things about the joy of learning to dance...
"We believe learning new dances and improving the way we do existing dances is a great way to exercise mind and body. We feel dancing should not only be a pleasure but also a challenge to exercise and maintain physical and mental wellbeing.
Believing that basic dances done well beats complicated dances done badly was important to remember when conceiving and choreographing new dances.
Social dancing for us is a great way to get together with friends, make new friends and get the most out of life."
