Please see the junior hunting section of the Maine Hunting Laws for more information about junior hunter requirements.Students ages 16 and over that take the online course are not required an in-person day but are more then welcome to attend for additional instruction/training.This Skills and Exam Session will include 8 hours of classroom instruction on the follow topics:Survival/first aidLandowner relationsHunter ethicsMaine hunting lawsHands-on practice of safe firearms handlingHands-on instruction of map and compass and outdoor survival• Bring a completed Survival Kit. Families may share a kit for class purposes, but it is strongly recommended that each person have their own.
