Treat yourself to an afternoon of Yoga and Meditation from the comfort and safety of your home. Immerse in a longer session of Yoga to release conscious and subconscious tension. Experience different perspectives on the current world situation, lockdown and general unpredictability through the tools analytical meditation, philosophy and Yoga Nidra.
Yoga Asana session will be a balanced practice focusing on backward bending. Backward bends are stimulating and extroverting. Through the expansion of the chest and the encouragement of inhalation they are associated with the attitude of embracing life. On an emotional level difficulty bending backwards may be a result of instinctual fears or giving of themselves with love. On a physical level they can correct postural defects, they stretch the abdomen and strengthen the muscles controlling the spine. There will be variations provided in the poses, if you have physical limitations you will be catered for.
Our Yoga talk will be on Compassion and Self Compassion. How we can be more kind and understanding towards ourselves and what are the barriers that prevent us from this.
Analytical Meditation encourages to see things from a different perspective, when we can’t change our situation then we can only change our mind. I will guide you through the process of analysing anger and patience. When we contemplate all beings have discomfort and suffering in life, why would we want to wish them more suffering. This contemplation encourages a compassionate view towards all beings.
This immersion will also include vitalising and balancing pranayama. We will finish the session with a nourishing, deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra.
