Each culture celebrates differently, but all honor the return of the figuratively and symbolically. As we gather, we begin with deep breathing and a relaxed body and mind, then move into a guided meditation. We follow this with a creative response, with art-making, poetry or another creative endeavor as you wish. If you don't have much experience making art, this is a judgement free zone. The point is not to make great art, but to express yourself. Just have some basic materials, like some blank paper, at least 8" x 10." Bigger is better. You can have pastels, oil pastels or colored pencils, or just a pen or pencil. I will offer some assistance. Whatever you feel comfortable with. If you are experienced, you know what to do.
