8-hour online training via Zoom
The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is offering virtual Dispatcher Training October 13th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will provide updated information to Dispatchers in Cuyahoga County on engaging and communicating with people in crisis.
As part of the ADAMHS Board's initiative to expand Dispatcher training in the county, each department will receive reimbursement in the amount of $150 per dispatcher to help remove financial barriers to training. Upon completion of the training, dispatchers will receive a certificate of attendance.
The training will cover: Review of Mental Illness & Substance Use Disorder, Use of the Emergency Certificate (i.e. Pink Slip), Overview of the new Cuyahoga County Diversion Center, De-escalation strategies and Scenario Based Activities.
