Social communication skills are key in enabling young people to develop relationships, with their peers as well as adults.
Social communication skills include, being able to start and maintain a conversation, knowing when it is and is not appropriate to talk, being aware of the impact that words or actions can have on others.
For some children these skills do not come naturally and they need support with this aspect of their communication.
This session will look at how to support children to develop their conversational skills and look at reflective tools to explore the impact of children’s actions with them.
