- **Event Description**: As blockchain proliferates more, SSI solutions are sought after more frequently. Check out the event to learn more about SSI.About this EventThe Frankfurt School Blockchain Center will host a panel discussion together with d-fine on self-sovereign identity (SSI). As more and more of our interactions take place online, SSI solutions are crucial in order to allow people to do so in a digital world with the same freedom and security as they do offline. Ensuring that your digital existence and identity are maintained independently of any (centralized) organization is pivotal for the further development of the ecosystem. The use cases for SSI are abundant. With SSI, challenges such as secure certification and easy validation, digital access management for buildings, or compliance in supply chain systems can be tackled. On the switch side, the application of self-sovereign identity solutions is in many cases still in quite early stages. What the limitations of SSI are, and which challenges need to be solved in order for them to be overcome for specific as well as more general use cases is still subject to discussion and investigation. In consideration of these points, in this webinar, we would address the following questions: Which use cases does SSI have? What is the disruptive potential of SSI’s?Which risks does the adoption of SSI pose? What are the challenges and opportunities of SSI?Where do the limitations of SSI lie? How can SSI be incorporated into existing infrastructure? Which steps need to be taken for the proliferation of SSI?During the webinar, you will also have the opportunity to ask direct questions to the speakers.Participants of the webinarProf. Dr. Philipp Sandner, Head of Frankfurt School Blockchain CenterDr. Marc Henniges, Manager at d-fineFelix Kohlbrenner, Research Project Manager Distributed Ledger Technologies at BMWFranziska Muschik, Business Owner Innovative ID Solutions at VeridosHelge Michael, Head of Lissi identity at Main IncubatorLocation and DateLocation: Online Streaming via YouTube.
