Reset your mind, body, and soul with monthly health and wellness workshops that encourage self-care and personal development.

About this Event

Resilient Womxn Check-In and Reset is part of our Health and Wellness series that focuses on encouraging active and intentional self and mental care through a series of workshops led by BIWOC facilitators with lived experiences.

Our upcoming workshops include:

Oct.17 | Peace from Above with Author Atia Heals

Ignite your soul with Atia Heals-Kyereme, as Mrs. Heals helps you address limiting beliefs, and re-establish affirmative practices from a Faith-based perspective. The purpose of the workshop is to focus on building self-worth while obtaining the necessary tools and resources to overcome shame.

Oct. 31| All Things Gut Health with Naturopathic Dr. Candice Todd

Reclaim your energy to perform at your best while feeling your best with a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Candice Todd. The purpose of the workshop is to focus on building a better understanding of how food affects our gut, hormones, and skin.

Nov.14 | Where the Money Resides

The purpose of the workshop is to focus on building a positive relationship with money and breaking free of poor financial habits. We want women to leave the workshop with foundational tools and resources that can help them build a healthy relationship with money.

Nov.28 | Sip & Build with Connection Specialist Ashleigh Montague

The purpose of the workshop is for BIWOC women to learn how to turn their passion into a business/brand while maintaining clear boundaries around rest and wellness.

Dec. 5 | Crowned with Curls with Hair Stylist Sasha Pinnock

The purpose of the workshop is for Black women to break away from negative connotations of having “difficult” kinky-coily hair while also being liberated to see that type four hair does has definition, bounce, and curls.

Dec.19 | Dew You Boo with Skin Therapist Orica Smart

The purpose of the workshop is for women to build a healthy skincare routine and understand the products and chemicals they are putting on their skin.

A limited amount of care packages will be provided for workshops!

About The Host: Sisters in Sync was founded following a successful campaign addressing violence against Black youth in Canada. The campaign provided a platform to share her story and bring to light the difficulties surrounding access to justice for Black girls and women when reporting their assault. Her story reached beyond its intended audience and received immense community support and welcomed the sharing of similar experiences. Bringing to life the reason SIS was created: to open up a space for girls and women to connect, share, and support one another. We offer support in education, mental health, financial literacy and day-to-day challenges, and curate initiatives that provide opportunities for individuals to lead and take control of their healing.
