Facilitated peer-support groups to build community and support for new families in Amsterdam. Join weekly to connect with other families of newborns experiencing the same discoveries, challenges, and joy. The sessions will be fun and social. We will facilitate a dialogue amongst families including time for sharing parenting highs and lows, time to focus on babies growth, and weekly discussion topics that you as a group get to choose. Possible topics include sleep, babywearing, relationship wellness, postpartum recovery, mindfulness, and much more. We will bring in postpartum professionals and experts to answer questions. There will also be time to socialize as well, during and after the sessions. This Parent Support Village is heavily inspired by the award-winning community program called PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) in Seattle, USA.
Every Parent Support Village will share a private facebook group and/or whatsapp group to be able to continue connecting. Connections through new parent peer-support groups often transition into life-long friendships.
Register for a group that begins when your baby is 2-16 weeks old. We encourage all parents to attend together. Single parents are, of course, very welcome.
