This workshop is the perfect introduction to modern calligraphy and will take you through the basics of using a pointed nib and ink. We will start with a demo to show you how to use your pointed nib, then we will work through warm-up exercises to teach you the basics, practising letterforms and joining up letters.

We will talk about how to create your own modern calligraphy style and you'll finish off the workshop by making your own calligraphy piece with the help of our unique templates. Friendly and informative, you will be guided step by step, so that you are able to build up your skills quickly and easily.

This workshop is a live stream via Zoom, which means that you can ask questions and receive direct help with your work from our experienced tutor. This workshop is NOT a pre-recorded video and is suitable for complete beginners.
