Those individuals, who wish to serve as a head coach in a Minnesota public high school and do not meet the requirements of MS122A.33, must complete the MNHCC (MN Head Coach Certification) to meet the MN Statute requirements. Coaches will receive education in a blended approach including seven hours of online instruction (via Zoom) with MSHSL Coaches Ed. faculty and several on-line requirements.
Upon completion of the course, coaches will complete CER Requirements, the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching course and the NFHS First Aid course. Those who successfully complete both the seven-hour Zoom course and the online components (a total of 60 clock hours) will meet the requirements of MN Statute 122A.33 and be eligible to be a head coach in MN.
You will receive an email from us one - two days prior to the class with the Zoom link for your course.
