Monday 6pm Beginner & General class 

I look forward to welcoming you (virtually!)

The students will be taught in the calm and quiet space of your home from the yoga studio.

Students will be learning, building strength and stamina with postural adjustments and relaxation at the end. There will be a friendly learning atmosphere, questions will be welcomed.

MEDICAL – Please disclose any conditions to me before you participate, so that I can be mindful of your needs during the class. If this is your very first class with me, you need to fill in a medical sheet.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I really do get as stressed as you (If not more) when there is last-minute panic, you can't get in, you can't hear me etc. It really disarms me I WANT TO HELP.

But it affects my teaching at the start as I want to help you.

I also have to try and teach in this new way.

So, please, please do your best to follow these steps BEFORE I arrive.

I can lend you props if you can pop over ( bring a big bag, IKEA ones are ideal) or If you think you might do a bit of home practise in the future...order some props!

REGISTER - Firstly you need to Register here.

You will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite.

After registering, please add yourself to the WAtsapp group. (for MONDAY 6PM ONLY)

Please pay careful attention and give time BEFORE CLASS to ensure the following

SPACE - You must consider the safety of the space. Choose the clearest area you can find with the largest possible space between you and the camera, with no obstructions around you or in the way of the camera view. 

SAFETY - A clear wide space is ideal, with a clear wall close behind you.

WHICH CAMERA? - On a reasonably up to date laptop ( mine is 4 years old) you can angle your camera easily, which is ideal. A tablet can be used as well, but is sometimes difficult to angle, but has a large screen, to view the teacher. A smart mobile is ok as well, but the down side is you may find it hard to see or hear.

LOCATION OF THE CAMERA -  Take a look at your space. How will I see you? Try to take the camera as far from the mat as you can. Can you see the whole mat from your device? can you see from head to toe if you stretch?

LIGHT - Please place the camera looking AWAY from the window or light. Shine as much light as possible onto yourself. This is IMPORTANT so you can be seen by the teacher, for your safety and corrections. Use lamps, open the curtains or please keep your ceiling lights ON if it's a dark space. 

CLOTHING - Please do not match your background., I won't see you! I wore grey against my grey sofa and realised I could not be seen!

PETS and FAMILY MEMBERS! – Pets and children may attend, but please be mindful. It WILL distract you. I will normally have your sound on MUTE. Please consider minimizing all distractions for your safety and concentration during the class time.

SOUND - The mic on your device is fine, I may 'mute' or unmute you. If you can't hear me well, try to see if you can connect your TV, a speaker or your stereo to the meeting.

PROPS - if you have props please use them! Required props are in BOLD, others can be substituted.

*1 x sticky yoga mat OR any hard floor could work*2/3 x blankets *1 x yoga belt OR A dressing gown belt *1 x folding chair OR Any dining chair will do. *4 x yoga blocks OR Some books wrapped in towels or several folded blankets. Pillows can be useful too.*2 x yoga Bricks OR Cans of food work!


Please setup and test EVERYTHING well before class

ON THE DAY of your class 

** 30 minutes before class  - Please register well before the start time. 

Meeting/class will be OPEN to join. 

You will join the WAITING ROOM and see 'Waiting for host'. Please be patient, you are in the right place!

In ZOOM 'Settings" you can ensure your camera is ON and check the video view ( as above).

Then test the audio, say something to check it's working!


* 15 minutes before the class -  Please check your camera for the angle and light. Can you be seen from head to toe if you stretch in every direction on your mat? Try some poses, Raise your arms, stretch them out, can you see your feet and fingers at the same time when fully stretched?  if yes... you can have a cup of tea/ coffee! 

 * 5 minutes before class, -  I will 'arrive' and will admit you. We will have time to say hello briefly and chck your view, you can update me with any issues to consider if you have not told me, by text already. 

ACTION  - At class time - We will start the class as normal with OHM and the chant to Patanjali!

NOTE: If you do not follow this procedure. it is not guranteed you will make it.. I will do my best to help you, but I will try to start on time. PLEASE print THIS and check through everything before class.
