This can be started any time between 1/08/23 - 31/07/24, study is online at times to suit. Once started you are given 3 weeks to complete.

About this Event


Important Information:

This is a short Online Self-Study qualification course (approx. 4 hours). It can be started anytime and accessed (via a learning portal) at times/days to suit you.

Register your interest and we will email you an application form - learning cannot be started until this form is completed and submitted.

Once this is done, we will send information on how to access the learning portal.

You can only apply for one course at a time however upon completion you can enrol on a further course.

To be eligible for this course you must:

• Be aged 19+ on the 31/08/2023

• Live in the UK for 3 years/live in UK from EEA or have *pre-settlement or *Settled status from the Home Office (*proof required)

• Due to Government funding criteria, we are unable to accept learners who live in London, Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, Ireland or a devolved postcode area. Please check with us if you are unsure




Course Details

This course is an ideal starting point if you are interested in mental health, either for your personal life, or professional interest.

This self-study bite-sized course is interactive and flexible giving you the ability to study at your convenience at a time and day suitable to you.

What You Will Learn:

This online mental health awareness course will increase your knowledge and understanding of how cultural diversity, social and personal elements can cause mental health problems, how to recognise and respond to mental health conditions and provide you with a range of skills needed when working in mental health.

  • What is meant by mental health.
  • The social and personal effects of mental ill health.
  • The responses to mental health issues.
  • Cultural diversity in relation to mental health issues


Type of study: Online

Approx. 4 hours to Complete.

This course is a fully online, self-directed, independent study course. Students must have use of a laptop to complete this course and must meet the eligibility criteria.
