Managing ambiguity and uncertainty has become a critical skill in today’s workplace. This course is designed to help you explore the challenges this ambiguity is causing for you and those around you and find ways of overcoming these challenges.
The course is based on a simple model called the 4C’s which are Context (getting as much clarity as you can, focusing on what you can control); Compassion (showing empathy for others and self-compassion); communication (finding the best ways give and receive information in the current climate) and Collaboration (reducing isolation, ensuring you are connected with the relevant people in the best possible way).
As a result of attending you will have:
Ideas for how to manage your emotions during this stressful and ambiguous time
Explored what to focus on and what to let go of
Practiced the skills of listening and questioning to ask for clarity from others
Developed a communication plan including a stakeholder analysis for who you need to be connected to Introductions and Context
Exploring the current ambiguity and challenges
Introducing the 4C’s: Context, Compassion, Communication, Collaboration
Reviewing the pre-work
Context: the impact of uncertainty
Pre-reading review and key messages
Impact and challenges arising as a result of ambiguity
Focusing on what you can control
Setting clear expectations
Making homeworking work for you and others
