# Event Details - **Event Name**: Journaling for Self Care Workshop - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 06 Jul, 2022 at 07:00 pm – Wed, 06 Jul, 2022 at 08:00 pm - **Event Description**: The goal of this class is to help others discover the power of journaling and to create a one-of-a-kind quote self-care box. We will first talk a bit about what is journaling and the frequent misconceptions about journaling. Afterwards using prompts and original quotes participants will have a short hands-on writing session and will be able to share feedback on their writing experience. We will then make our very own quote journaling self-care box. Participants will put together the items sent in their care package and personalize their care box with a handwritten self-affirming notecard and positive affirmations. Participants will come away from this workshop with a better understanding of what journaling is and is not how journaling can enrich their life and will leave feeling good about taking care of themselves. The very act of putting together their quote journaling self-care box will remind participants that they are important and that their wellness journey is something they can do for themselves and enjoy!Taught by Hope AtlasHOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASSThis class is available to take In Person at our Montclair NJ Shop or online Virtually on Zoom. For the Virtual class participants can opt to take the class with a DIY Kit or choose to receive a shopping list.IN PERSON CLASSIf a participant chooses to take the class In Person then they are taking the class at our shop located at 547 Bloomfield Ave Montclair NJ. For In Person Classes materials will be provided at the shop.VIRTUAL CLASSIf a participant chooses to take the class Virtually they will receive a Zoom link. For Virtual Classes a participant can choose to receive a DIY Kit or a Shopping List.To receive your DIY Kit in a timely manner register at least a week or earlier in advance to reserve your materials for shipping or local curbside pick up. Please provide your shipping address when registering.DIY Kit includes:• 8x6X2 white sturdy box• Shredded Kraft paper• A QuoteHope® journaling notecard with 5 quotes and prompts• A blank kraft card• A hexagon alcohol ink coaster with a quote• One pair of eco-friendly socks• An eco-friendly large quote stickerParticipants will need a pen pencil or computer for writing notesParticipants who register for a Virtual class with a Shopping List will be emailed a list of materials utensils appliances and other items needed to participate in the workshop. Participants are responsible for sourcing their materials in time for class. Participants are welcome to contact us for recommendations as to where they can source their materials.APPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATIONParticipants must be at least 18 years old and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket.CLASS PARTICIPATIONThis is a Live event. In Person and Virtual Class Participants must attend on the scheduled date and time of the class in order to partake. There is no recorded session available for replay. If an In Person Participant is unable to attend the class in Person they can request to join the class Virtually and we can arrange accommodations. If a Virtual Class participant is unable to log onto a class on the day and time it is scheduled then it is the participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event for accommodations. If a participant is unable to join and needs to reschedule there is a rescheduling fee that will be billed to the participant. If we as the organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee and participants will be notified of any changes.INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL PARTICIPATIONIf you live outside of the United States there is an additional fee to ship DIY kits. Participants are responsible for any duty fees customs fees or any additional fees associated with receiving their DIY Kits.
