Paul Wapner is Professor of Global Environmental Politics in the School of International Service at American University. His work focuses on environmental ethics, environmental activism, and climate suffering (the lived experience of those on the frontlines of climate intensification). He has published six books. His latest is, Is Wildness Over? (Polity 2020). Paul serves on the board of RE-volv, an organization that finances and installs solar panels on the roofs of nonprofit organizations.
The Exploring Social Justice Series, a program co-sponsored by the American University Library, the Center for Diversity & Inclusion, and the Kay Spiritual Life Center, brings to campus exemplary leaders from diverse backgrounds who have advocated for various human rights and social justice issues.
