Introduction to Pet Loss Support Skills – Two hour CPD e-learning

Build your confidence with this short course on what to say and how to bereaved clients.

This short course is an excellent introduction for front of house and customer facing members of staff who have contact with bereaved owners but do not require an in-depth knowledge.

The two hour course covers the following key areas:

• Empathy vs sympathy
• Communicating with active listening skills
• Open questions
• Face-to-face emotional support, telephone support, email support and other written communication
• How to support yourself, importance of self-care and useful contacts

Cancellation policy

You can cancel your booking within 14 days of confirming your place without charge (provided your course hasn't started).

If you cancel your booking more than four weeks before the start of the course, we only charge a £30 cancellation fee to cover our costs.

If you cancel your booking between two and four weeks before the start of the course, you will receive a 50% refund if your course fee was more than £60. If your course fee was less than £60, we will charge a £30 cancellation fee, and refund you any remaining balance.

If you cancel your booking less than two weeks before the start of the course, you won’t get any refund.

Depending on the circumstances we may offer an alternative to a refund, such as enrolment to an alternative course.

In exceptional circumstances we may need to cancel your booking. If we do, we will always try to offer you a suitable alternative. If you choose not to accept this, we will offer you a full refund.

Requesting a deferral

We will charge a £30 administration fee for all deferrals, payable before being enrolled onto the next suitable course.
