Dr. Brittany BarretoDr. Brittany Barreto is a geneticist who launched the first nationwide DNA-based dating app (Pheramor). The company ultimately closed but she sure did learn a lot! Next, Dr. Barreto was Senior Venture Associate at Capital Factory, the most active venture fund in Texas. She was tasked with opening their Houston branch and had a blast doing it. In 2019 she discovered an industry called FemTech and she learned about the grave inequalities in women's health. In March 2020, during the covid-19 lockdown, she started a FemTech podcast and gained international traction overnight. Now Dr. Barreto talk about vulvas full time via her 501c3 non-profit, FemTech Focus! She is also launching a US-based seed-stage venture fund called Coyote Ventures to invest in stellar FemTech startups!??‍?Dr. Adrianne StoneDr. Adrianne Stone joined Capital Factory in August of 2020. Prior to this, she led a Product team at 23andMe that developed the My Health Action Plan feature which combined users genotypic and phenotypic data to form a personalized preventive health plan.
