Your good friend Sabrina the Teenage Lich wanted to spruce up her creepy mansion for her party tonight, but the spell went whoops and it's all gone a bit wrong and, er... deadly.
Being the resourceful boss lich that she is, she's magically summoned you to the house and left you to put things right with the help of her talking cat Maulem whilst she goes off to stall her aunts. If they get home before the accidental magic has been dealt with they'll probably be angry enough to DESTROY REALITY ITSELF. So... no pressure. :)
How it works:
- You'll choose a character from a bunch that have already been made for you. No need to read up on the rules before time or anything. You'll get a gist of what each character does, and decide which sounds most fun. Simple.
- We'll have a four hour (give or take a brew and a biscuit) session where you'll learn to play Dungeons and Dragons and see if you like it. This will involve fighting evil, solving puzzles, cracking jokes, munching snacks , saving the day and meeting some cool and quirky characters along the way.
- The session will take place entirely online for your socially-distanced safety and convenience (and mine too to be fair). We'll be using a website called roll20 to navigate the game itself and Zoom or similar to make talky noises and daft faces at each other. It's all free, and really easy to get going with.
- That's it. Four hours of your time to learn something new, have a laugh with some open-minded and equally-new-to-this people and maybe even discover a new favourite hobby. What's not to love?
It's free you say? What's the catch?
No catch. I run paid DnD sessions elsewhere and this seems like a nice way to give people a free taster of what I offer whilst introducing some lovely randoms to an amazing new hobby.
