How did Russian artists at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries create the figurative world of the Russian fairy tale with what picture did the fairy tale genre begin and why was it not there before?How did artists “dress” fairy-tale heroes – either striving for the authenticity of hoary antiquity or inventing fashionable outfits in the style of “art nouveau”? What are the secrets of creating a “fabulous reality” which we still believe?The lecture (in RUSSIAN) will be available for viewing in advance using the link provided by Andrei from July 7th to July 16th inclusive. The lecture was recorded with the support of the First Museum of Slavic Mythology Tomsk in March 2020.Andrei Borovsky – art critic public lecturer.
