About this Event
Virtual "Dance Fitness" with Dianna This popular class focuses on cardio conditioning and core strengthening from a dance perspective. Class will include isolations, stretching, balance work, coordination and some technique basics. This class is taught at an intermediate level from a standing position. Students can make modifications from a seated position or they can make advanced modifications if comfortable. Because of space limitations for most taking this class from home, there will be optional traveling steps incorporated into the combinations. Also, Instructors cannot see everyone in the class so they will not be able to suggest immediate modifications. We encourage all new students to schedule a free, 15-minute orientation to discuss any injuries or adjustments that may be needed. We can also discuss how to effectively use Zoom at that time if needed. Class Schedule Wednesdays, 10:00 AM-10:50 AM (Followed by Strngth & Stretch Class) Saturdays, 11:00 AM-11:50 AM(Followed by Strength & Stretch Class) Sundays, 11:00 AM-11:45 AM(Dance Combos)-New in July (Starting in July, the Wed. and Sat. classes will be followed by an optional "30 min. The new Sunday class is a dance fitness class with a focus on learning combinations that will be repeated week to week so students will get familiar with them.

Adagio Wellness Logo The rain represents our challenging times in life. The umbrella represents the tools that we access during these challenges. The flowers may not quickly appear but with a soiled foundation, some warm love from the sun(friends, family and communities) and the use of tools(like an umbrella or Zoom to live stream classes), beautiful wildflowers will appear when we welcome and weather organic experiences lead by and rooted in nature.
Dianna Rowley of Adagio Wellness offers a variety of "live" movement classes and habit modification workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as "virtual" classes and workshops internationally. Her movement/exercise classes help increase circulation/endurance, build strength, improve balance and improve posture/alignment.
Adagio develops skills with a focus on long term health. During the time of the Corona Virus Crisis, Dianna has taken many of her regular Bay Area classes and moved them to an online platform using Zoom. Most of her public classes can be found through this event brite platform at this time. Private(corporate) online classes or small group classes can be scheduled by request. When things in life feel out of sort and you are not sure how to gain control..start with your basic habits around your health such as sleep, stress, diet, exercise and energy. As those things stabilize gradually go deeper into lifestyle changes around time management, boundaries, communication and creativity. The Adagio Wellness Program is a habit modification program inspired by an International Swedish Program designed by the Karolinska Institute. Adagio by definition is "a movement or piece to be played slowly".
Adagio Wellness™ is a combination of several programs that tap into deeper levels of self, creating a deeper connection to self through love, joy and creativity.
Programs include the signature Adagio™ Habit Modification Program, "Retrain the Brain" Fitness, Rhythm Room Dance™, The Real Selfie™, Girl's Teen Summer Program and the Inside Out™ Teambuilding Program. See class description and schedule at bottom of this section. (To be updated)

Each Adagio client is looked at as a unique individual with unique needs and unique challenges. This is not a "cookie cutter" program that has been mass produced for all. Adagio Coaches will help you uncover the unique answers to your growth while providing accountability and tools in the process.
Adagio Wellness offers talks, lectures, group discussions and one-on-one coaching throughout the US. Events are also offered around community and creativity such as Dance classes or Visionboard Workshops. Adagio also offers a series of movement classes.
Participants of the Adagio Habit Modification "Signature" Program committ up to 1-year as they slowly recondition their brain around new habits that will create a healthier and happier future. This process cannot be rushed. This includes the transformation to optimistic perspectives. This is a habit change and includes visualization and affirmations. As this happens the law of attraction will set in and you will attract positive people and experiences into your life. This is not a quick change as it takes time to change habits. It takes a lifetime to condition the brain so it will take some time to recondition it.
Interested individuals should attend a talk or inquire via email. A one time complimentary 30 minute to1-hour initial assessment is available to discuss the program and to discover if it is a fit for you. Coaching modes of communication include Skype, Zoom, phone and/or face-to-face.
Rediness is key to success with this program. All are encouraged to read the book, "The Power of Habit". In order to build that strong foundation we need to understand how the brain can be reprogramed at any age!
While you are considering and preparing for a life transition, all are encouraged to:
-Breath, Our brain needs oxygen to function and to reprogram
-MOVE, Pump the blood to carry that oxygen to allow for new pathways to grow
-Read a daily positive affirmation because "the body achieves what the mind believes!"
-Share, be social or nuture your interpersonal relationships. We strongly discourage surrounding yourself with enablers who try to talk you into or out of life experiences. Trust your internal compass and share with good listeners with no agenda. This is why group discussions with strangers are so effective. This is part of the Adagio Inside Out™ Program. This is where healing happens!
