Veteran Professionals Vision: Connect members of the business, social and civic community with professionals who've served & engage on issues that impact our ENTIRE community.
Veteran Professionals Mission
Adjungo - Be "The" business networking forum for Veterans
Profectus - Promote professional development
Civitas - Community service and engagement
Our Story: Veteran Professionals started off an informal idea in 2017 in response to the recognition that professionals with prior military service would enjoy the benefits associated with networking but were largely as a demographic unsure as to how best to jump into the networking world.
For most professions outside the military networking is second nature; a way to expand contacts, explore opportunities and find areas of interest to engage in. For many veterans navigating follow-on careers networking is often a new concept and one that can sometimes be a little daunting to navigate. The hope was Veteran Professionals could help bridge this gap.
In 2018 Veteran Professionals incorporated as Nonprofit in Texas and later received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. What initially started as small gatherings of local professionals with military backgrounds over breakfast has grown into an organization with a threefold mission of networking, professional development and community engagement. Our vision is to serve as a conduit connecting professionals who have served in the military with members of the larger business, social and civic communities through interactive events.
Our events are never veteran only but inclusive of all. Veteran Professionals hosts a series of monthly events including speaker breakfasts, professional development workshops, Senior Executive Panels and Happy Hours designed to bring the community together with veterans on a wide range of subjects. In the area of service Veteran Professionals doesn’t believe we should just be veterans helping veterans but instead an organization committed to making differences in areas that impact everyone. Currently we’re in partnership with Cooks Children’s with our Pjs for PJ pajama donation drive delivering new pajamas and feeling of home and the familiar to our community’s smallest patients under care.
