Circlehood Summer Solstice Virtual Picnic, 20 June | Online Event | Circlehood Summer Solstice Virtual Picnic
A celebration of the shift in season and sunshine in sisterhood

About this Event

Keep an eye on your email for a suggested brunch menu! We'll suggest some goodies but feel free to make anything that resonates with you!

The Circlehood is a virtual gathering space to be serenaded by the seasons, find a compass in the cosmos, untangle interiors, sit with discomforts and naked truths, and become better seen partners in a unicorn community centered in belonging. The Circlehood serves female and femme identifying folx in seasonal sisterhood memberships (unlimited access to circles and online community) and drop in circles as well as all gender indentities, expressions, and nonconforming beings in an antiracism + allyship book club plus monthly community gatherings called "seenery practice". This circle is specifically for female and femme identifying folx to enhance sisterhood’s superpowers in a space aware of the harms that separate us.

In all the Circlehood communities and services, unknowns are held in illumination and you are invited to feel your worth as a complex human being You are not a machine momma. Welcome to your comfort zone outside of your comfort zone, a magical inbetween for magnified growth!

**Please plan on staying for the entirety of the circle (2 hours max) unless communicated prior. As this is a facilitated community experience, it is recommended to be in space where you can be present and ready to share. Also let us know in advance if there is anything we can do to make the space more accessible to any specific needs. Email dGhlY2lyY2xlaG9vZCB8IGdtYWlsICEgY29t.

Zoom link will be sent to all attendees day of to protect security of the space.

A percentage of each purchased Drop In Ticket will be going to The Consortium of Asian American Theaters & Artists. CAATA envisions a strong and sustainable Asian American theater community that is an integral presence in national culture—evocative of our past, declarative of our present, and innovative towards our future.

May our day to day find more medicine in the natural magic of the world and one another’s bright light. Gratitude to you for showing up.

Hosted by Tara Tagliaferro, a white woman + multi-hyphenate artist, certified coach + circle facilitator, and faerie god momma buena strega.

Tara Tagliaferro is a white woman, Jersey Italian turned Strega New Yorker, and multi-hyphenate artist in love with nature's medicine and gathering with unicorn humans unafraid to show their magic and messiness. She was raised on the Magic School Bus, spaghetti nights, Shirley Temple and old movie musicals, classic books and faerie tales, and Nick at Night, and all of these things are still present in her identity today :-)
Pre pandemic, Tara was primarily wandering the road, regions, and globe as both a professional actor and teaching artist. She founded the Circlehood (formerly known as the Gyspyhood 2016-17 and then the Wander Women 2018-20) nearly 5 years ago as a sacred space for sisterhood to bloom and find breath in the concrete jungle for fellow female and femme identifying artists. It has since expanded to an ever-growing virtual community with a seasonal sisterhood membership and antiracist book club plus monthly gatherings for all gender expressions and gender nonconforming beings. Along with being a circle facilitator, Tara is also a certified life coach, song coach, and co-host of the popular Oz podcast Down the Yellow Brick Pod with her roommate and fellow Circlehood sis Emily Kay Shrader. Down the YBP will take you over the rainbow to the Land of Oz and down a yellow brick rabbit hole as they “pull back the curtain” on all they thought they knew.Connect with Tara on IG @taratagtickles, which was her last AIM screen name. She yearns for the days of away messagses.
