Are you expecting more than one baby?
Our breastfeeding twin’s workshop is designed specifically for parents expecting more than one baby and will be delivered by a peer supporter with twins. It will focus on getting breastfeeding off to the best start, how your journey may differ to those of a single baby, and practical tips to help prepare you for managing everyday life with multiples. The session will give you the chance to learn about responsive feeding and the different feeding cues. Parents will gain a greater understanding of baby’s stomach sizes at different ages and learn more about what to expect about baby’s wet and dirty nappies.
The session will include:
• How to get breastfeeding off to the best start
• Importance of skin to skin contact
• Benefits of breastmilk
• Breastfeeding and premature babies
• Alternative feeding methods
• Establishing and maintaining milk supply
• Responsive feeding
• Hand Expression
• Feeding positions
• Practical tips for daily life with twins
• Pain free positioning and attachment
• Breastfeeding problems and solutions
This session is delivered via zoom by Infant Feeding Peer Supporters.
The workshops are delivered by a team of experienced antenatal supporters who have been providing antenatal education to families for the past 10 years and have a proven track record of success. We request a minimum donation of £1 to ensure accessibility for all, but we do ask if you can to consider making our suggested donation of £5 to enable us as a small charity to continue with our essential work for families.
