Relevant for any healthcare professional who may be required to assess the vascular status of an individual

This workshop is designed to build on the learner’s knowledge and understanding of diabetes and wound management; giving them ability to further assess the vascular status of an individual to establish or exclude the presence of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The workshop covers:
-The rationale behind undertaking an ABPI assessment
-The principles of Doppler Ultrasound
-Measuring, calculating and interpreting the ABPI
-Factors affecting the ABPI
-Toe pressures/Toe Brachial Index
-Practical (pre-recorded video) demonstration by the educator
The session will be run by Gemma Andrews, an experienced HCPC Registered Podiatrist and will be as interactive as we can make it within the constraints of the virtual environment! The will be plenty of time for Q & As throughout the training.

Each attendee will receive an electronic copy of the core slides used during the workshop along with a 'useful links/resources handout'. Electronic attendance certificates will also be issued after the event.
