Art of flourishing!!!!  

In this workshop you’ll get to discover the world of flourishing getting to know when where and how to add those flourishes - that extra touch to your calligraphy piece. We will start with the basic forms of flourishing using the pointed pen how to add flourishes to your letters and how to create decorative flourishes. At the end of this 6 hour workshop you will get to design your own flourished piece calligraphy.

Note :- Some experience in pointed pen calligraphy will be helpful. We highly encourage you to use your own pen nibs and ink as we’d like for you to work with whatever you’re comfortable with.

The workshop fee covers the following:

1) Basic shapes and curves of flourishing

2) How to add them to Capital Letters and Small letters

3) Floral designs: - vines leaves berries wheat sheaves feathers wreaths and floral bouquets.

4) How to add them to your Calligraphy Names and Quotes

5) How to make border design with Floral elements. 6) Finally we do one flourished piece calligraphy

Material you need for this workshop :-

1. oblique or straight holder or brush pen
2. Nib any kind but should be flexible
3. pencil and pens
4. Brush pens any brand
5. Good ink or metallic inks
6. Ruler
7. Tissues papers
8. bottle of water for cleaning nib
