This half day 'Mental Health Aware' developed by MHFA England covers all of the above within a 4 hour session, enabling you to learn more about mental health and begin to make a difference in your workplace.
Through an interactive instructor-led live session, you will learn:
– What mental health is and how to challenge stigma
– An introduction to some common mental health issues
– Confidence to support someone who may be experiencing mental ill health
– Ways to look after your own mental health and support wellbeing
Jessica Shields is leading the session, as a Mental Health First Aid instructor trained through MHFA England. Jessica runs her own business 'Jessica Shields Coaching' working with individuals to help them manage their mindset, create positive change in their lives and promotes self-development. She is a trained coach and NLP Master practitioner, fascinated with how the brain works and human behaviour. Working as a MHFA trainer means that she can help others make a difference in their organisations by managing mental health with the appropriate focus it needs. Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet there is still a lack of education around it, meaning stigma is still in place. By enhancing your awareness, you will be able to challenge that stigma and support those who are in need.
