Gary Ball, a very popular instructor within the BetterInvesting community, discussed the importance of establishing investment objectives and setting a strategy that matches those objectives. He told us about diversification of a stock portfolio in terms of industry, company size and number of stocks.
Gary looked at the historical risk and returns of the major asset classes of stocks, bonds, and cash, and covered the merits of a balanced portfolio and the effects of diversification. The webinar will also included a practical example of an investment portfolio that can be used to support your retirement.
GARY BALL has been investing for over 40 years, and has been featured in SmartMoney, Consumers Digest, and Fortune magazines and has also taught investment classes at the University of Washington's business school.

He was a financial planner/stockbroker for seven years before retiring and now lives on a family farm in Western Illinois.

Gary discusses typical questions to ask Investor Relations personnel ~whether over the phone or in person at Investor's Fairs, Expo, etc. You will also learn how to analyze the answers you are given to determine if you are looking at short-term problems (which may represent buying opportunities) or long-term problems (which may represent a reason to sell).
