Embroider your own floral spray inspired by the frock coat fashions of the 18th century.
Class length: 3 hours
Skill level: This 3-hour class is perfect for beginners.
Class Description: Inspired by frock coat fashions of the 18th century, this little silk design sample is worked in English heritage silk threads on English heritage silk dress-fabric. Both companies of these materials were producing silk since the 1740s and are no longer in production.
SFSNAD has a limited supply of these precious embroidery materials to use for unique classes for our students. Our own floral spray was inspired by another silk embroidery sample from the Cooper Hewitt Museum and is worked in long and short stitch, satin stitch, with French knots, lazy daisies, and stem stitch.

Supplies: All materials will be mailed to you prior to the start of class. You will need to supply a pair of scissors.
