In 1899, interested individuals came together to determine if a Monona County Fair Association should be formed. Finally in 1905, the Monona County Fair Association was organized with Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws were adopted. President Geo O. Holbrook was the first President. Shares of stock were sold raising about $10,000."
