Tue, Jan 20, 5–9 pm & Wed, Jan 21, 5–9 pm

Free program includes admission to the exhibition "Dripping Earth: Cannupa Hanska Luger; advanced registration required."

In the Northern Plains, winter is storytelling season. For two nights only, a traditional lodge, or tipi, will rise in the Joslyn Art Museum’s Scott Pavilion, and all are invited to listen to stories that have been generously shared with Steve Tamayo (Sicangu Lakota), Omaha-based artist and National Heritage Fellow. The tipi canvas will light up with live image mapping projection art, as people of all ages are invited inside to listen to storytellers share stories of origin and belonging to these Great Plains in the heart of winter. Held in conjunction with the exhibition, "Dripping Earth: Cannupa Hanska Luger," this immersive experience connects the past, present, and future of the land.
