🌼 Día de los Muertos Community Parade & Ofrenda 🌼

Join us for a bright, vibrant, and cultural Día de los Muertos Parade in the heart of South Omaha as we come together to honor loved ones who have passed and celebrate life, memory, and community.
DATE: October 3, 2026
TIME: 5:00 PM
PARADE ROUTE: Begins at 23rd & M Street and ends at 24th & L Street
This family-friendly community event invites participants and spectators of all ages to take part in a colorful procession filled with culture, creativity, and remembrance. Expect to see:
- Decorated floats, cars, and community groups
- Catrinas and Catrines in stunning makeup and costumes
- Horses and traditional parade elements
- Families, kids, and even dogs dressed up and joining the
fun
🎭BE PART OF THE PARADE!
(Registrations open in late May)
Community members are invited to register to participate in the parade as individuals, families, organizations, performers, or decorated vehicles. Come dressed in your Día de los Muertos best and help bring the parade to life.
🕯 COMMUNITY OFRENDA (Altar)
We will also host a community ofrenda, where attendees are welcome to bring photos and offerings to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. This shared altar will be a space for reflection, love, and cultural tradition.
🏆 CATRÍN/CATRINA COSTUME & MAKEUP COMPETITION
Show off your creativity and artistry in our community Catrina/Catrín costume and makeup competition. More details on competition categories, rules, and prizes coming soon.
👨👩👧👦 COME WATCH THE PARADE!
Even if you’re not marching, we encourage spectators to dress up, bring their families, and celebrate alongside us. This is an inclusive, welcoming event for the entire community.

🌼 Desfile Comunitario y Ofrenda del Día de los Muertos 🌼

Acompáñanos en un desfile del Día de los Muertos lleno de color, cultura y tradición en el corazón de South Omaha, donde nos reuniremos para honrar a nuestros seres queridos que han fallecido y celebrar la vida, la memoria y la comunidad.
FECHA: 3 de octubre de 2026
HORA: 5:00 p.m.
RUTA DEL DESFILE: Inicia en 23rd & M Street y finaliza en 24th & L Street
Este evento comunitario y familiar invita a participantes y espectadores de todas las edades a formar parte de una procesión colorida llena de cultura, creatividad y recuerdo. Podrás disfrutar de:
- Carros decorados, grupos comunitarios, y negocios
honrando nuestras tradiciones
- Catrinas y catrines con impresionantes maquillajes y
vestuarios
- Caballos y elementos tradicionales del desfile
- Familias, niños y hasta mascotas disfrazadas participando
en la celebración
🎭 ¡FORMA PARTE DEL DESFILE!
(Las inscripciones abren a finales de mayo)
La comunidad está invitada a registrarse para participar en el desfile como individuos, familias, organizaciones, artistas o con vehículos decorados. Vístete con tu mejor atuendo del Día de los Muertos y ayúdanos a dar vida al desfile.
🕯 OFRENDA COMUNITARIA
También contaremos con una ofrenda comunitaria, donde las personas podrán traer fotos y ofrendas para honrar y recordar a sus seres queridos que han fallecido. Este altar compartido será un espacio de reflexión, amor y tradición cultural.
🏆 CONCURSO DE DISFRAZ Y MAQUILLAJE DE CATRÍN/CATRINA
Muestra tu creatividad y talento en nuestro concurso comunitario de catrinas y catrines. Próximamente se compartirán más detalles sobre categorías, reglas y premios.
👨👩👧👦 ¡VEN A VER EL DESFILE!
Aunque no participes en el desfile, invitamos a los espectadores a disfrazarse, traer a sus familias y celebrar con nosotros. Este es un evento inclusivo y abierto para toda la comunidad.
