The Latino Center of the Midlands (LCM) is excited for their signature annual Destino Dinner, taking place on Friday, August 24 at the recently renovated Scott Conference Center.
The public is invited to attend the fundraiser. Doors open at 5:30pm. The event will feature a cocktail hour, silent auction, salsa bar/appetizers and entertainment from 6-7pm with the speaking program and dinner from 7-8:30pm. Individual tickets are available for $100, or a table of 10 can be reserved with recognition of your company in the program as a partnership sponsor for $1,800. In addition to serving as each year’s largest fundraiser, the Destino Dinner is an opportunity to highlight how programs of LCM impact lives in the areas of education and social services.
Pathways to Success is a set of school-based services that have been successful in lowering absenteeism and raising academic achievement among Latino students at Bryan High, South High, Bellevue West, Bellevue East and R.M. Marrs Middle.
Adult Basic Education prepares Spanish-speaking adults for greater employment opportunities through literacy classes, GED preparation, and skills certification through our partnership with Metropolitan Community College.
Community and Technical Assistance is a gateway for assessing how families and individuals can be helped through programs offered by Latino Center of the Midlands or partner agencies.
