- **Event Description**: We are organizing a benefit for my sister, Jennifer Novak Haar. 

Jennifer was born with a lung disease called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia and up until last year lived a pretty normal life as a freelance pianist. But in the past year, her lungs have deteriorated to the point where she is now on the waitlist for a double lung transplant! We are excited for her to get new lungs which will improve the quality of her life, but know there are a lot of hurdles to overcome. 

We are raising money for transplant expenses, specifically the high medical bills and loss of income. After surgery, it can be 6-12 months before she can work again, and her husband Mark will also have to take about 4 months off to be a full-time caregiver while she is recovering in the hospital and for several months at home. 

We hope you can join us and show your support for Jen and Mark! We will have food, a silent auction, and a jam session for any musicians who would like to participate. Jennifer's jazz trio will be the "house band" and guests are welcome to bring their instrument or voice to sit in. For those of you who are not musicians, this means it will be a great evening of amazing music to enjoy! Please RSVP so we can make sure to have enough food!
