Summary
“They say there's a curse upon the family that lives in the manor on the cliffs...”

Rose, a new maid at Winter Manor, doesn't have time for curses. She's taken this job for one reason - a reason she must keep secret at any cost.  Unfortunately, the manor is crawling with detectives, because the current lord of the manor - Lucas Winters - is determined to end the curse through their powers of deduction.  But Rose finds herself drawn to three unconventional detectives that have arrived at the estate: a peppy teen sleuth who seems to be stuck in another era, a precocious ten year old boy and genius junior detective, and an elderly woman who says she's not a detective at all, just a mystery writer.

But when a dead body appears in the main hall, the most abrasive, rude, detective in the manor determines that Rose is the guilty party. Rose must now rely on her new friends - these unconventional lesser detectives - to clear her name and crack the case.

Lesser Detectives Cast List

Rose - Woman: A new maid at the manor who quickly befriends our detective trio. Practical and a bit shy. Hiding
a huge secret.

Brigid Price - Woman: 40+ year old mystery writer who also happens to be an accomplished amateur detective,
although she would never refer to herself as such. Warm, kind, calm in the face of chaos, and a little bit mischievous.

Griffin Gibson - Woman: 10 year old boy genius detective. Confident, smart, and a little bit arrogant. (Note: Griffin will be played by an adult woman impersonating a child, a la Peter Pan.)

Bess/Blake Cooper - Gender Open: Plucky teen-ish aged detective. Wholesome, clean cut, whip smart. Uses a lot of old timey slang.

Hollis Locke - Man: The most famous detective in the world. Arrogant, dismissive, cruel, demeaning. Hates Brigid
with a fiery passion.

Inspector Porcius Pigg - Man: Bumbling inspector who does not know what he's doing. Idolizes Locke. Dismissive of everyone else.

Lucas Winters - Man: The owner of the manor, who has called the detectives to his remote island home. Kind but mysterious, he’s harboring a huge secret that may threaten his life.

Lester Wells - Man: Grizzled old man who runs the island’s lighthouse and port. Warns everyone constantly about a curse that befalls the island and the Winters family.

Various - One Man, One Woman: To play a variety of small roles including police constables, maids and butler, and a newlywed couple.
