Who this course is for
Designed for kids aged 13yrs+.
No previous experience necessary and no need to be able to swim.
This is an inclusive course - if you need extra support to take part please get in touch to see how we can help.
What you will learn:
Basic paddling techniques
Launching and landing safely
Kayak stability and body positioning
Basic safety and rescue skills
Coached by our friendly, experienced instructors in a supportive way, this course is a perfect for anyone new to kayaking. Over five weekly progressive sessions, participants build knowledge, ability and confidence.
Dates & Times
Thursdays: 13, 20, 27 November and 4, 11 December.
Times: 7:40pm – 8:50pm (7:45pm - 8:45pm in the pool)

Omagh Leisure Complex
Equipment
We provide: Kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
You bring: Shorts/swimsuit and a t-shirt for the pool, a towel and a dry set of clothes to change into afterwards.
Facilities
There are toilet and changing facilities available, as well as parking.

Non-member course prices include an annual membership of Erne Paddlers & Paddle NI (worth £75).

If we know that there is sufficient interest in a course, we can confirm the work schedule with the qualified coaches for that course.
