Presenter bio: Andy Suhrbier is a long time senior biologist of the Pacific Shellfish Institute, located in Olympia. He studies many things shellfish including geoduck, oysters, clams, mussels and water quality. His interest in sea cucumbers arose by their decline in population observed by tribal and state biologists and harvesters. He is the co-editor of the recent book, the World of Sea Cucumbers.
