Why Donate?
This annual activity aims to replenish the local blood supply, which often faces shortages during the first quarter of the year. 

Beyond the altruistic goal of saving lives, donating blood offers several health benefits for the donor:

• Health Screening: Free check-ups (including blood pressure and hemoglobin levels) are provided by PRC medical professionals.

• Physical Benefits: Blood donation can help maintain healthy iron levels and reduce the risk of certain cardiovascular issues.

• Community Impact: A single bag of blood can help save up to three lives.


Reminders for Donors:
        To ensure a smooth and safe donation process, the Philippine Red Cross recommends the following:
1. Rest: Get at least 6–8 hours of sleep the night before.
2. Hydration: Drink plenty of water or juice before and after donating.
3. Nutrition: Eat a healthy meal before your appointment, but avoid fatty foods.
4. Identification: Bring a valid government-issued ID.
5. Restrictions: Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to donation.

Note: Individuals with tattoos or piercings may donate provided the procedure was done at least one year ago.
